What is a normal schedule for a flight attendant?

What is life like as a regional flight attendant in US?

  • Hi guys! I will be starting my new job as a flight attendant soon. Just wanted to know what my life will be like... They said we'll have about 4 legs per day. My contract includes 70 hrs of flight time per month. Do flight attendants work constantly? Do they have free time during the day? What is their schedule like? Is it a fun job? Thanks! Any help is appreciated!

Long hours for little pay. The job is what you make it. If you like working with ALL kinds of people it will be fun. If you don't it can be pure Hell. You'll probably be busy most of your day. Depending on your schedule you may have to lay over over night away from home at times. As a "new-bee" expect the crap runs for a while, but as you gain seniority you'll be able to pick the better, easier flights. Remember you have a very important job. The comfort and safety of the passengers is your responsibility. If anything out of the ordinary happens they will be looking to you to know what to do.
