Well, if you love it, pay shouldn't be that important. It all depends on who you work for, though, and seniority. You will get to travel, but it might not be as much fun as you think. If you work for say, American, your layovers could be in Boston or Detroit. If you work for a foreign airline, you will be a world traveler. If you work for a domestic only airline, you will have to travel the world on your own time. I would become a nurse first. Airline jobs can be tricky, so it's good to have a backup. Lot's of flight attendants are also nurses. A BS degree is a good idea, and learning other languages is always a help. Depending on where you work, starting pay is about 18k, but you can work your way up to 35 or more. Get that degree first so you can go in to management later. Good luck.

If you want to be a flight attendant - I suggest you take languages in school - The best ones to study when in USA is learn Spanish and French - Then inquire to the Red Cross about learning to do first aid and (CPR) cardio-pulmonary ressucitation (takes a few days) - Be sure to do a couple of years of college, maybe study geography, so you resume will look good - When you are 18, I suggest you volunteer as lifeguard at the beach during summer vacations - Then you will have to wait until a few months away from being age 21 to apply with airlines - Do as I say, I know what airlines look for when hiring flight attendants - As far as pay, the first years it is not much, but after a few years with the airline, salary will be better and you will fly to many places you will like - Bonne chance - buena suerte -

Never enough money. But the other 2 answers regarding education is important, mainly so you aren't stuck later in the same job.
