Where To Get Cheap Flights International?

Does anybody know how many international flights a year are there in this world? Or where can I get this data?

  • According to the report of Airports Council International, worldwide aircraft movements were 74.1 million in 2009, but if I need further information, I have to pay for it, thus I cannot find the data refers to the international flights. Does anybody know the answer, or can estimate the answer by any indirect information?

    By indirect information more than half. There are some countries that are so small (Singapore) you fly "internationally" just departing the airport plus almost half of the worlds countries have only one airport. I'm only considering commercial flights which is what the Airports Council report counts. Local flights in a Cessna 152 don't count.

Airline flight schedules (domestic and international) are published in the "OAG" or the "ABC", which are edited monthly, the books being same size as phone books with small print... If you want some amount of statistics, search the IATA or even ICAO (both in Montréal) -

only thing i can think of is to find out how many flights a airline does a day through their websites and go from there a lot of work but sounds like the only way to figure it out
