    As with any rating, it's dependent on a lot of things, but it shouldn't be very long. If you have close to the minimum number of hours of PIC and cross country, you would just need to learn a complex aircraft and the manuevers while meeting the minimum time. For an accelerated commercial at a 141 school the total time after you get your instrument is only 75 hours. It's basically a glorified private with a few new maneuvers and smaller tolerances. I got halfway through the commercial in about 2 months at a 141 university where it takes forever to get anything done.
