• I was interested in being a flight attendant but had a few questions first... One is, and I don't mean to sound like a downer, but, do you have any time at all to be like a normal person and like have a life and friends? Because a lot of websites make it seem like the job is the only thing you will have time for ever lol Also, I read once that you should how to swim (which I really don't) so I was just wondering if it is a requirement for most airlines? Last, is it really stressful? I work in retail so I know how dealing with people can be (I can get rattled by them easily sometimes but I'm working on being more confident lol), but I read that you have to bid for your schedule or something which sounds confusing and difficult... Because a lot of websites make it seem like the job is the only thing you will have time for ever lol In most cases yes. You spend alot of time in the plane, and at hotels, and overlays. Second: question: Also, I read once that you should how to swim (which I really don't) so I was just wondering if it is a requirement for most airlines? Yes, you should know how to swim, for safety reasons. Third: Last, is it really stressful?
