Can I sue the pilot for lost wages??? I was a TSA screener at the airport and I was terminated for an alleged?
-
I was a TSA screener at the airport and I was terminated for an alleged theft. It was later discovered after the fact that after being rescreened that I had mistakenly picked up a wallet with the belief that the wallet was mine. I immediately turned the wallet in minutes later wondering how in the world I had two wallets on me. At the time, I was rushing and was running late for work and figured that I must of pick his wallet up think it was mine and never took my wallet out. It was later discovered that the wallet belonged to a Delta pilot. Once the wallet was turned in, I was waiting to be assigned for work, and over heard the supervisor I turned the wallet into, say that there was no money in the wallet. Instead of the pilot thanking me for turning the wallet in, he attempt take advantage of an innocent situation by alleging that I stole the wallet. By filing charges to have me prosecuted and stating that he had 150.00-200.00dollars and then surprisingly he refused to press charges when state contacted him and I was terminated from TSA. Then two days later, after I was terminated, the pilot strangely calls my house twice asking me to compensate him for the loss of work due to him missing his flight as a pilot. He stated he would miss one day of work then maintained three months later that his only concern about the incident was the time he missed from work, stating his flight got cancelled. I filed a police report and a complaint with his airlines. It was discovered while filing the complaint that the pilot lied about missing work. Which begs the question why would he call my house asking for compensation for the time he allegedly missed work, when the head quarters of his airlines confirmed that he never missed work? The pilot stated he missed out on $1,100.00 due to the incident. TSA and Police believe I stole the wallet. The manager of internal affairs, the detective which was the same Detective who arrested Astronaut Lisa Norwak, and TSA, all lied as it relate to the investigation. All stated and said I was on video picking up two wallets, however the police officer who did the official police report stated I picked up what appeared to be a pair of keys and a wallet not two wallets. It was later discovered after I personally viewed the video of the incident that I pick. That I did in fact pick a pair of keys and the pilot’s wallet. Answer:
Your best bet is to call and retain a lawyer. There are always two sides to every coin as there is in every story. Just wondering why the pilot had to go through security when there is a special "cheese grater" entry doors for flight crews/employees. And just also wondering why this: "At the time, I was rushing and was running late for work and figured that I must of pick his wallet up think it was mine and never took my wallet out. It was later discovered that the wallet belonged to a Delta pilot." Your wallet and his wallet are totally identical! and you picked it up because you were running late for work...You really need a lawyer, mate. Based on your narration, you can't pick somebody else's wallet when you're just about to rush in to go to work...as a TSA screener.

Why are you asking this again? My response remains the same: One side of a story is a useless as a two leg stool. Now either go retain an attorney or go play on the freeway.

You don't have a case my friend. You just don't, I'm sorry to hear that but the fact of the matter.

Unfortunately, you admittedly took the wallet (even if it was an accident). It is his word against yours. Is there video of you from the time you picked up the wallet to the time that you turned it in?

Change your username to defendant. I would know immediately if I had the wrong wallet, by feel, weight, etc. Did you put two wallets in the same pocket? Sorry for your loss.

Then there were the strawberries, but I proved beyond a shadow of doubt there had to be a duplicate key to the ward room. You stole money from somebody who should by pass security anyway. You ought to do jail time.

Tell it to the judge. There is no way that anyone can take sides without hearing both sides. Frankly, your side raises a lot of unanswered questions, and the pilot's actions after the fact as described are irrelevant to the case.

Whatever the facts of the case, you have to sue people in court, not on Yahoo Answers.
Techwing
Even if you're telling the truth, if you made a mistake about your own wallet you don't have enough good judgment to be be handling other people's stuff.
