Where can I watch the Perseids in Columbus, Ohio?

Is there a place in Columbus Ohio to watch planes land and take off from port Columbus?

  • I remember parking off James road when I was younger and the planes would fly overhead at port columbus. Now, after construction, that spot is no longer there. I would love to take my son somewhere to watch.

    Go bust out google maps and find columbus airport. Use satellite view too. Check out the runway setup and then look for some roads or parking lots near the end of one of the runways. Im a fan of parking lots because police usually wont say anything. Also it seems airports, large ones at least, have many manufacturing business next to them. Those are perfect parking lots to camp in. If your sitting on the side of the road they might get pissed. Google maps is the way to go though. Hopefully you find a decent place for your kid to see them. I used to live right lined up with a runway when i was a kid and thas what got me hooked on flying. This post 911 world has put watching airplanes a suspicious activity. Its ******* stupid. Good luck though.
