What are the job opportunities in aviation?

Where would Aviation Management lead me?

  • I'm interested in studying Bachelor of Aviation Management next year, but where would that lead me? A job in the airport or? What about the salaries?. This is in new Zealand BTW. I know that in NZ the opportunities would be low for finding such a job. But if i do go overseas, would they recognize BAvMan from Massey University? thanks for your help.

  • Answer:

Business management, international economics, finances, etc... are good - Aviation Management... worthless - My former airline top management CEO, CFO etc... were business people - They knew very little about operating airplanes - Yet excellent in their position - When they needed to know about the airplanes, they knew who to ask - .

Other answers

You'd be better off with a degree in business management, as it has much wider applications than just aviation. The Aviation Management degree is for pilots who need a bachelor's degree to qualify for a flying job with an airline. Other than that, it's pretty much worthless.

you can work for airline management which is a "rich" job. Its a bit like running the airline
