What would you buy, a plastic airplane or a wooden airplane?

i would by a plastic because wood would be heavy

Plastic because it's easier to assemble and it's cheaper to buy:)

It depends on how you want it to look when you're done. Plastic models are fairly easy to assemble, but need quite a bit of work to make them look good. Wooden models take more effort to assemble (generally), but typically look better when done. I have only done plastic models personally, but my brother did a wooden ship once, and it looks damn good.

I have found that unless you are building a fabric covered plane it is best to build with plastic as the look is all wrong for a metal skinned p;lane when built of balsa and fabric. so if you want to build a WW1 plane balsa is the way to go then you get a flyable model as well as a good looking plane. But WW2 or newer use plastic. If you are considering those solid wood planes don't they never look as good as resin ready made planes.
