How can I build an RC?

How can I build my own home-made car sized rc helicopter (how much would it cost)?

  • Could I build one fully functional, exact replica of a real one, that I could actually fly from the inside, just as big as a real one, and me be able to legaly fly it without having to get a real helicopter's pilots licence for it.

  • Answer:

By doing a lot of hard work including wiring, cutting & fitting, welding, engineering & mechanical work. If it just as big as a real one & an exact replica then it is a real one.If it is "RC" then you do not get inside to fly it. Depending on your skill it would cost from $25,000 up. If you are wanting it to be "Remote controlled" then expect to spend another $10,000.

You do not seem to understand the difference between R/C and (in this case) Ultralight. I think you would not be able to get far enough with this project to be able to get a helicopter airborne. If you do get that far, and you try to fly it, you are going to hurt yourself.

Helicopters are already been made, so technically you can make it. But by the sound of it, you dont seem very smart so i would say no, not possible for YOU to make one, but it is possible to make a helicopter.

Whatisit

I recently saw an RC helicopter at our municipal RC field. It was big, and had turbine power. It wasn't near big enough to carry a human sized payload. It cost the builder $35.000. In parts!!!!!
