-
I'm an 18 year old girl from Australia and my dream job is to be a flight attendant. I've applied for every major air company i know but still nothing. Is there anything more I can do to get the job than just applying online???

Answer:
Well first of all i think you have to be at least 21 to be a flight attendant, so you might have to wait a few years. You should try calling a variety of air lines and see what they say, if they think you might be good at the job, send them your c.v. Remember lots of people will be sending them their c.vs so you might have to wait for a while. And i also think you have to be a certain height to be a FA, so just check you meet the standards. I suggest you try Emirates, they are very good and helpful. I've been on their website and when you go on 'Careers: , it says all the jobs, So click on 'FA' and then it gives you all the information about the job and if you meet all the standards, they tell you to send your c.v There is also Qatar airways, they are also very good. Here is a list of airlines that i suggest: - The aussie airline - Qauntas - Emirates- U.A.E airline - Qatar airways- Qatar airline - Singapore air - VERY good!!! - British airways- although they have strikes quite often so maybe not - Gulf air- ok? - Etihad airways- a Abu Dhabi airline - Lufthansa- a german airline I don't if you can think of any more, but these are the ones i can think of. I hope this advice helps, good luck in your future career!!!! xxx

Airline F/A hiring is not continuous - You might possibly have to wait a few months until they do some hiring - Meanwhile, update and send airlines your C.V. every 6 months - You can improve qualifications with First Aid and CPR training (Red Cross) - Also learn a foreign major language - Mandarin would be the best to learn - Suggest you also apply with Middle East airlines - Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, Saudia, Gulf Air etc. .

Not really. Whatever you do, do not go to one of those training companies. They are a waste of money, and many airlines will NOT take you after you attend one of their courses. I would look into airlines that hire expats too. Most of the US based airlines will hire you if you can get a green card. Have you only tried Aussie airlines? Hope that helps you. Perhaps you should hang out where aussie FA's hang out, and perhaps get some inside info from them. Good luck! PS, you have to be 21 to be an FA in the US.
