in the absence of information or proper documentation how do you know it's a special handling situation than???....since you know it is a special handling situation (you have knowledge) even if it isnt documented you have information.. with that in mind you have your five sense to gain information if you can't use your five senses then your dead and how you handle a special handling situation without information is a mute point......
