I'd recommend one shirt, pair of socks and underwear per day camping. You can get by on one pair of pants/skirt/shorts for every two days. Take a long sleeved shirt and long pants to sleep in at night- it can get pretty cold at night. Take a sleeping bag, pillow and a tent. take some bug spray too- ticks, mosquitos and chiggers can make a camping trip miserable. Sunscreen is a necessity too if you are going to be outside during the day. Take plenty of fresh water in a drinking safe container. If you are planning on making a campfire, check with the park rules first-you don't want to get kicked out the first night! Also there might be a burn ban in effect, so check with whoever is in charge of the campgrounds to make sure it's OK. That's pretty much it. When you get to Kansas City or another near by town you will probably want to buy some camp food if you are going to make a campfire. Hot dogs, soda's, water, chip's and cookies are all pretty easy camp foods. I hope you have a great time! Email me if you have any other questions.

What ever you pack make sure you have a way to hold it down since the wind blows all the time here. Hair spray or a hat also.

First off, clothing is a good start. A few camping essentials in my book are: a flashlight sunscreen w/bug repellant (that way you don't have to get or pack both) stuff to make smores (but you can get that in Kansas) Hope this helps.

First of all if your pack is not waterproof, get a big enough sized garbage bag and place it in the pack first...you dont want it to rain and all of your s**t gets wet. Socks underpants, bug spray, first aid kit, snacks, comfotable breathable clothes...you are camping and not trying to impress anyone......compass, matches, and and 1 warm outfit

Besides the usual bug spray, sun screen, and a comfy sleeping bag, don't forget to take an oilcan and a heart for the Tin man, a badge of courage for the Lion, a brain for the Scarecrow...oh, and remember to come back, 'cause there's no place like home.

You will need changes of clothing. Long and short for cool or warm weather. Water and snacks just in case. You will need bug spray and possibly sunblock. A flashlight and a deck of cards or something to not be bored. A small first aid kit. Some toilet paper and soaps. Pillow and blanket. These are just the nessecities. You may want to take more.
