What would be a better way to look for job as an Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer position?

  • Iam an international student studying at Red River Collage, Canada in their Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program. With one more month left for my graduation and also willing to move were across the country. So far i have tried my best for past 2 months applying thru email in all almost all job postings in found but i havn't yet got a single response from any company. I would like any1 in tis field to help me with any suggestions (or) is ther a better way to look for job for this position??... Please help!!!...

  • Answer:

As a "International" student, you're going to have problems finding a job in ANY country other than your own home. Most countries have a huge surplus of fully trained and highly qualified aircraft mechanics out of work and already looking for jobs. Airline companies around the world are cutting back where ever they can. Why would any company who needs to cut expenses and save money want to hire someone who is not fully qualified, and will need additional training before they can do the job, not to mention having to deal with visas and government red tape to hire a non-citizen for a job that requires a high security background check? I suggest you go back to your home country and look for work there.
