Which are the best and worst states of India?

Which is the smallest or Which size private aircraft can fly between United states and India?

  • I am looking to buy a private aircraft ( in the future if I make some $$$) . Which is the smallest aircraft that can fly between United states and India. Currently I am located in Florida. But I suppose it doesn't matter. I just want to know which is the smallest aircraft that I can buy ( saving $$$), that'll still take me and 3 other family members from America to South India?

  • Answer:

If you don't wanna fly non-stop then about any airplane would do it. Cessna 172 would be one of the smallest which can accommodate four people. It costs about $200k new. For a non-stop flight, a Gulfstream G550 might make it from northern US to northern India (over the north pole) if it's not fully loaded. However, this one would set you back about $50M.

You can buy a private aircraft, like a Cessna 172, and fly it just about anywhere. As long as you don't care how long it will take. It is possible to fly a small plane across the Atlantic by making small hops from the US to Newfoundland, to Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, and then the European continent. As you work your way toward India, you will have avoid some countries by going around them, which will add to your trip. Plus, you have to make arrangements for fuel and accommodations at the many locations where you stop for fuel. My best guess is that it would take you almost a month and cost many thousands of dollars. It would be cheaper, and incredibly faster, to travel by commercial air.

You would need a Gulfstream jet and even then a stop or two! That type of range is way outside "small" private aircraft. You don't even want to try that in most GA unless you want the adventure. Buy tickets, much cheaper. The aircraft that can do it are, even used, over 3 million. Most of them will be 15 to 20 place aircraft. Here is a G4 http://www.aso.com/listings/spec/ViewAd.aspx?id=131294&listingType=true&IsInternal=True&dealerid= With a stop or two should get you there! most 4 to 6 place piston aircraft have a range of around 1000 to 1500 miles.

You could get there in a Cessna, it would just take a long time and require many stops (I would recommend the Aleutian route). Any private jet could do it in a few hops, just be prepared to fork out a few million.

If you want a non-stop flight, then you are going to have to purchase an actual airliner. A Boeing 787 or 747 might make it depending on the seating, but if you want a sure thing you would have to go with an A380.

cessna 182. a 172 can carry four adults (at least in theory), but only at a reduced fuel load, and you'll need a ferry tank to cross the atlantic. it's still cheaper to fly commercially, but i guess your fantasy doesn't allow for that.

How about one of those gorgeous three engine Dassault executive jets with a range of over 5000 miles?

I vote for cessna 172 via the canada->alaska->aleutian islands->????->japan->->->->->->INDIA route
