What is the best economy flight LHR-LAX?

I want to fly from LHR-LAX and return this summertime in Economy but have read negative reviews of both B.A's 777 and 747-400 and Virgin's 747-400 route. Is there one with decent legroom and more importantly, this on-demand IFE system and not a wretched old one I got when I travelled LGW-MCO with Virgin in 2010. Anyone had any good/bad experiences on flights from LHR to LAX and what to recommend, oh and it must be a non-stop flight and nothing overnight. Thanks for your help.

I recommend Air New Zealand. The price is not horrible and has great comfort on it's Boeing 777-300.

If you need to go nonstop, Air New Zealand has an extra 1-2" legroom and a lot lower price than BA nonstop. Most other carriers are 31" seat pitch.
