How much does it cost to learn to fly a helicopter?

Answer:
It honestly depends on the flight school. To get your PPL/H (private pilot's license/helicopter) it will probably run about $10,000 to $20,000 USD, however you can not get a job flying with a PPL/H. To get your instrument rating and CPL/H (commercial pilot's license/helicopter) runs about 40,000usd to 50,000usd. Helicopters are totally worth it. Best of luck.

Not sure where you live but here is an excellent Canadian website you can have a look at: http://www.ebhelicopters.com/eb/flight-training/information.php I am sure it gives you an average picture of what you will pay to get your PPHEL or CPHEL. You are looking at somewhere between $30,000 and $50,000 CAN.
