How do you clone a plant?
-
Do you take a bit of the root and plant it elsewhere, or do you have to use the whole root system?
-
Answer:
The usual way is to take cuttings. For that, you don't need an entire root system, just a viable piece of stem, or with some plants, even a leaf or piece thereof will do.

Hi there, To clone a plant you dont need to take the whole root system. Infact you can even take a small cutting, a stem, but I recommend a seed from the flower. Hope this helps

grafting is the traditional way to do that, and has been long before cloning was a word.
