What is the function of parenchyma in the Stele of roots?

  • The question is first What is the function of parencyma cells that make up the cortes? My answer- sugar storage. Next question is note other parenchyma cell, determine what sort of tissue they make up and suggest a function for each of these classes of parenchyma. These questions all pertain to the root either in a monocot or dicot. I know there is parenchyma in the stele and the epidermis, but what is the function in the stele?

It may be storage of water to give turgidity, storage of food ; storage of metabolic waste ( equivalent to excretion in animals ) so that it does not interfere with the vital metabolic activities in the plant .
