Why did my resurrection plant turned yellow?

I have a resurrection plant and it turned yellow brown. I think it's rancid. What to do?

• I bought a resurrection plant and it was green and pretty. After a few days, the plant turned yellow brown. What happened? I am aware of having to change the water every 2-3 days. Someone please help me "resurrect my plant"!

  There are two different sorts of resurrection plants available, a "dead" one without roots, swimming in water for a good while and rotting in wrong pH, contaminated water etc. It`s something like a gag and not for a long time. The "living" resurrection plant, Selaginella lepidiphylla http://wc.pima.edu/~bfiero/tucsonecology/plants/others_repl.htm a desiccation-tolerant complete plant incl. roots is able to live for more than 10 years without any water and comes back to life ( resurrects ) as soon as watered for a few hours. That`s the pH the plant prefers in soil. Might be it starts to recover.
