  Pine martins mostly eat squirrels. They will eat any small mammal like mice, voles, chipmunks or even rabbits. The food chain would be something like acorns, squirrels, pine martins. According to wiki they are listed as least concern which means they aren't threatened at all. They are expanding their territory after they were probably wiped out by deforestation and trapping in many places.
