Is it possible to have a tropical rain forest in a green house?

Is Tropical Rain forest a deciduous or an evergreen forest?

  • I have been confused by evergreen forest and Rain forests. Are these the same. coz i want 3 to 4 pages about evergreen forests but I am getting about Rain Forests. Plz.......help...

  • Answer:

Most Tropical Rainforests are evergreen - see below for classification. •evergreen rainforest: no dry season. •seasonal rainforest: short dry period in a very wet tropical region (the forest exhibits definite seasonal changes as trees undergo developmental changes simultaneously, but the general character of vegetation remains the same as in evergreen rainforests). •semievergreen forest: longer dry season (the upper tree story consists of deciduous trees, while the lower story is still evergreen). •moist/dry deciduous forest (monsoon): the length of the dry season increases further as rainfall decreases (all trees are deciduous).

Other answers

Rain forests are also called evergreen forests because they never shed their leaves during any year of the season. Evergreen trees are those trees which do not shed their leaves and are perennial. So accept the data about it.

If a tropical rain forest has trees that the leaves always fall off then it's a deciduous but if no leaves never fall off then it's a evergreen.
