How might an introduced plant species kill native plant species?

Help with plant species?

  • In science right now we are doing biology. We went to a forest and we had to take pictures of various plants and identify them. Unfortunately, i cant find these species, or, i don't know exactly how to find what they are called. Does somebody know the names of these plant species? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/trin250/100_0803.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/trin250/100_0804.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/trin250/100_0811.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/trin250/n500842881_50197_7287.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/trin250/n500842881_50152_6967.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/trin250/100_0806.jpg Thanks!

I think you need to first tell me where these plants are found in the U.S. I am guessing the east coast or around abouts. The first clue is that these are forest floor plants. Start with researching Mayapples, grasses, ferns and horsetails. The Peterson Field Guides that is specific to forest floor plants or similar are found in most bookstores and libraries will have what you are looking for. I believe in doing your own homework. Better luck with the next person. HA!
