What type of mushroom is this?

What type of mushroom is this? 10 points to nearest/best answer?

  • The diameter of the cap is roughly 1cm and the edges of the cap is rough and not definite, meaning that the cap's edge looks fuzzy and has bits sticking out. The cap is tan/brown and is rather concave in the centre yet the cap is broken so that the cap is not a complete circle. (Looking from the top, the cap seems to be divided into three segments of a circle). Underneath the cap, the colour is tan and it is a continuous piece from the stem. There are no rings. The mushroom cap seems to have an exterior which is rather "hairy". The stem is thin and probably has the diameter of 2mm. The stem is tan and rather rough. The stem is about 2cm long and there is a base underneath which is the colour of brown/black. From this point is where another stem is also attached. This shroom is found in a garden in Thailand on the edge of a sidewalk in the garden itself. Three of the same shrooms were also beside this one. However, a picture is not provided due to technical difficulties. Best answer or closest answer for 10 points! Thanks :)

  • Answer:

You're leaving out some key information. Does the mushroom have gills? Pores? What is the spore print like? Without a local expert to tell you what mushroom you're looking at, you have to get hold of a good mushroom field guide and learn to key the mushrooms out with it. This is not as easy as learning to identify plants, and if you intend to eat the mushrooms you identify, make sure you're sure. Mistakes are very costly.
