What do these plant hormones do?

Does anybody know where you can buy Plant Hormones?

  • Okay so I need some plant hormones for my science fair project and I'm not sure of where to get them from. So if you know of anywhere you can buy plant hormones, please let me know? I'd rather it'd be a store but if its at a online store that's okay too. Thank you

  • Answer:

You are referring to root inducing hormone, flower inducing hormones or ripening hormones? Anyway, for plant growth, either root or shoot, they are usually made up of auxins (IAA), gibberellins (GA), cytokinins (kinetin), depending on the concentration and what you are going to do with it. Try any agriculture supply shop/stall or plant nurseries. Usually they have it, but first you have to explain which hormone and for what purpose you want to use it.

Other answers

It depends on which hormone you need. Rooting hormone contains Auxin. However ABA, Gibberelllins, and Cytokinins are normally only really available from chemical companies like SigmaAldrich.
