  The Student Conservation Association has tons of paid internships in botany and other areas, and they are generally in really beautiful places. I did an internship with them last year, and now I'm working for the same agency I interned with as a biological technician monitoring invasive plants. It's a great way to transition from college to career. It also provides free housing and a stipend at the end of your service to help pay off student loans or use for school expenses. Also, you should check out usajobs.gov . They have lots of job postings that involve doing plant surveys, or forestry stuff, or whatever floats your boat that are seasonal but can lead to longer term jobs when you graduate. There's lots of stuff there in terms of summer jobs, but you have to start applying in the fall. Good luck!
