How are tissues and organs different?

Prosthetics, artificial organs and tissues PROJECT.......?

• So i basically have a project on the topic above, I already have the written portion of it finished, but as for the physical presentation part, I haven't yet to decide and am running out of ideas. I really want my presentation to stand out and really leave a mark. If i could, i would honestly get an artificial heart and bring it in to show the class. Unfortunately, this idea is a bit unrealistic, but I want to get as close to it as possible. Maybe construct something? It doesn't necessarily have to be a heart organ, as long as it falls under prosthetics and artificial organs and tissues. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. (This is for a Grade 12 Highschool class)

  This really isn't a topic for the "Botany" category. But you might see if there are any hospitals, particularly VA (Veteran's Administration) hospitals near you and give them a call. They might have some older prosthetic devices they could loan you, or maybe even some newer ones. If not, maybe someone could point you in the direction of someone locally who could. Do you know of anyone who wears a prosthesis or has an artificial heart? Maybe they would be willing to come and talk with your class. If all else fails, contact some of the veterinary hospitals around you - prosthetics aren't just for people. But you might get more ideas if you post your question in another category - Other-Health or Medicine maybe?
