Recycling experiment? anyone?

Anyone know how to find experiment results for a Pea Plant experiment involving Gibberellin and dwarf plants?

  • If anyone knows the measurements of the dwarf plants w/ and w/o gibberelin, and normal pea plants w/ and w/o gibberellin, let me know. They don't have to be exact! Thanks!

  • Answer:

You are talking about Mendel's tallness gene in peas, one of the first genetic studies ever done. The plants produced different levels of gibberellin. Try the links I've given.

first u need to know the exat measurements of the dwarf plants and then it will be easy for u to conclude

well that needs a lot of time...since pea plants are annual ,u got to have patience to rear the plants and make a statistical record of ur observation...Read what Mendel had done...he had removed the anthers..pollinated the flowers artificially and covered them with polythene bags to maintain pure lines and to prevent further pollination...he waited for its life cycle to end when it gave rise to more pea plants and u will have to record the results based on the seven traits that Mendel had done> colour of pod, colour of seed coat, wrinkled or smooth, colour of seeds> yellow or green..etc...and compare with the previous generations' phenotype(based on external appearance), ...draw a punnett square or checkerboard to find out the ratio of phenotypes and genotypes...
