Why are there seeds in seedless watermelons?

Why are there white seeds and dark brown seeds in watermelons?

  • I was just eating a slice of juicy watermelon just now and just came to this realization. WHY are there white and dark brown seeds in watermelons? Is there a difference between th seeds? or are the white things seeds at all? Thanks :)

  • Answer:

The white seeds are immature or non-viable seeds. The darker seeds are more mature.
