Could someone recommend good diving spots (lagoons) between Venice and Trieste?

Where can I go parasailing and snorkeling in Venice, Newport, or Laguna Beach?

• I'm going to California in a couple weeks and I really would like to go parasailing and snorkeling (I'm not certified for Scuba Diving or I'd be doing that). I’ll be at Venice Beach, Laguna Beach, and Newport Beach and was hoping someone would be able to give me some good recommendations on companies to go through at these beaches. I’d prefer info on Venice Beach over the others but any will do since I will be at all 3. Also, if you have any ideas of rates or any tips on places that cost less than others that would be very much appreciated as we are on a budget! I’ve been searching for stuff of the web but I’m not having the best of luck. Thanks so much for any info!

  there's no para sailing in venice. i'm not sure you'd really want to snorkel in venice either. or really anywhere in southern california. the water just isn't that clear and there isn't much to see. the beaches are great (laguna is prob prettiest) for hanging out, people watching, and of course, surfing. but for snorkeling and diving you really want to go to catalina island. you can get the Catalina Flyer (ferry) in marina del rey (very close to venice). you have to book the ferry in advance and get up early to get on it but it's SO worth it for the water clarity once you get there. massive kelp forests and fish and this is actually the best time of year for it off catalina. you can also do a "discover scuba" dive that will take you down without certification. you can also parasail, kayak, glass bottom boat and do all kinds of touristy things there. on dry land catalina is pretty cheesy and touristy but if you go beneath the surface the water is amazing. have fun!
