What would be an ideal shortboard length?

What size shortboard (length)?

  • So i'm 5ft3 and looking at a lost sd3 shortboard. what length would be best for me?

    Your height is completely irrelevant. How much you weigh, how well you surf and what local wave conditions are like are the important factors in deciding what board to get. Also, board thickness, width and design are factors. Since we don't know any of these things, go to a good surf shop near where you surf and get advice there. I have been surfing for 42 years, and I get my surfboard buying advice at good local shops in the places where I surf. One of my newer boards is a Lost SDII. It's a nice board, but probably not my favorite. There are lots of great boards made by local shapers out there in the stores. Think about getting one, don't be too hung up on the 'Big name' brands like Lost or CI.
