Do you have to have a basecoat when waxing your surfboard?
-
i dont have anymore base wax and im going surfing tomorrow do i have to use a base coat or does it not really matter?
-
Answer:
Not exactly. Just grab your preferred wax (i like sticky bumps) and rub where you want your wax to be(where ever you stand). I rub in a circle but it doesn't matter. Once you've got the bumps you're good to go.

I'm guessing you don't because you don't need to wax your board every time you use it. To be honest, I just wear booties and wax my board like once a year, if even (no one else can use it though, doesn't matter to me). Its essential to put on under the wax though because otherwise the wax won't stick to your board. If you already have wax on your board, you never need to use it again.
