Is this a good surf board for me?

I love to surf and i am looking for a new board, i am advanced and my highth is 5'1,whats a good board highth

  I tend to agree with Rez. If you were advanced, you wouldn't be asking this I would say get a mini-mal - Something around 7'6" to 8'0" with a thruster fin setup. That way it will have enough stability to stand up and feel comfortable on but you will still be able to turn it much more easily than a longboard. You'll also catch a lot more waves than you would on a shorter board and that means you will both improve faster and have more fun, which is what it's all about. Definately don't get a 5'11" or even a 6'4", as these boards are only suitable for people who can do more than just make a drop and turn, but who can actually generate speed on a wave. You will be ripping it up on a tiny board a lot sooner if you buy a nice 7'10" today than if you jump straight in and get a 5'11". If you go straight for the small board, I'm tipping you will have given up on surfing in another 2 years. Bigger boards are great for developing a really good technique as well, because all your turns are very smooth and you tend to have to pick the right line well in advance. Hope this helps.
