How should I choose a snowboard to buy?

Can i buy a 145cm snowboard for a 5'5 ft person?

• i'm new to snowboarding. i have snowboarded once but i'm going again soon and i want to get buy a snowboard. Also, what kind of good quality snowboarding brands do you recommend and where to buy inexpensive ones online? I've been looking everywhere, and its still expensive, even last year's models. thank you very much is k2 moment good and Ride promise snowboard?

  There are a lot a good snowboards out there. If you buy them like right after the seasons over you can get them for dirt cheap. Search around, you will prop find something. Burton Is famous for there snowboarding stuff, but you can try K2, roxy(if your a girl) salomon, and Marrow. 145 seems about the right size. Im assuming you rented before so they gave you a size, try to stick with that one. the bigger the bored the harder it is to handle. The smaller the bored speed, and easier to maneuver for a beginner. Dont buy something to big but not to small either. Also, i would recomend these cool bindings that you don't have to sit down to strap your foot in.(unless you want to) http://www.amazon.com/K2-Cinch-CTX-Snowboard-Bindings/dp/B002VH4PJM they look like that. you can do it both ways but if you don't wanna take your glove off pick that one.
