How would you get an Erg score for rowing?

Trying to get better at rowing ?

  • Iv been doing rowing quite seriously(have been doing national training) 4 a while now but seem to have hit a plateau with training and there are no improvements . My goal is to put on weight to get stronger because I am 67 kg's and my goal is 73. My current Erg score is 7.10. Any help would be appreciated, oh and am 17 yrs old

You should try other water sports such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boat,swimming even diving ect. The first three I recommend for recreational purposes, not competitve purposes so maybe try on on a weekend or some thing. I have done both competitive swimming and diving and they have helped me become stronger and more flexible, though currently I don't do any competiive swimming or diving ( stopped a few years ago when I had to go to summer school and I never got back on). All of these are really fun and they help you build a strong connection with the water. Good luck!
