What's the difference between a kiteboard and a wakeboard?

I want to start wakeboardn ths summer.?

  • tell me how do i actually wakeboard, what tricks to do,and whats the difference between plush and index boots.

  • Answer:

Once you get in the water the most important thing for wakeboarding beginners to learn is how to get up on the board. For some people this part can be quite difficult and for others it is a very simple process. Either way you will have to learn how to get out of the water before you can start to practice and learn wakeboarding tricks. For some the first try goes well and for others it can take an hour or two. It all depends on how gifted the individual is and how skilled the driver of the boat is. But it is important that you don't give up, remind yourself that you will get it eventually and then you will have the routine down for the next time your out in the water. the biggest tip i have for starters is the higher the rope is attached to the boat the easier to stand up becuse it will pull u up out of the water and wen you are trying to stand up the first time float on your back with your board infront of u and the roap centered the wen the driver hits it hold the handle as tight to your chest as you can and stay in a crouched position untill you are moving a decent speed then you can straighten your legs a LIL DO NOT straighten your legs all the way the key to smooth riding is keeping your legs slightly bent and loose...... it is definatly a work out but loads if fun. you should also check out a wake park like this one orlandowatersports.com thats my favorite place to ride. good luck man oh and u boot question i dont no i stuck with liquid force for a bit and went to ronix but i wouldnt suggest closed toe boots ( they get stinky and dont brethe well. peace

The most important thing for a beginner would be learning how to get up. First of all remember that the LESS you try the EASIER it is. The boat actually will do most of the work in getting you on top of the water. You can practice in the comfort of your own home -Sit on the ground with your feet shoulder width apart -Hold your arms straight out in front of you parallel to the ground -Raise your knees toward your chest till your knees are at your elbows (your arms should still be straight out and your knees should be inside your arms and feet should be on the ground) -While in this position have someone stand in front of you and grab your hands and pull you up while you just focus on keeping your balance I know it doesn't sound like much, and may sound a little ridiculous but it really does work! When on a wakeboard you just have to keep your arms straight, if you bend them you will fall over backwards. (a slight bend is ok) Lean back just slightly and have a slight bend in the knees. And i'll repeat a gain THE LESS YOU TRY THE EASIER IT IS. Just relax and let the boat pop you on top of the water. Hope that helps and you can email me if you have any other questions, i'd be happy to help.
