How many hours is good when buying a used Jet Ski?
-
I want to buy a used jet ski and found one for a great price but it has 80 hours, is this too much, good, or amazing? Please also tell me what else would be important when looking for a jet ski and what amount of hours is acceptable. Thank You.

Answer:
80 hours is moderate usage for a jetski. I have a 1997 GP1200 with 75 hours on it and it runs just fine. The important thing to consider is how hard were those 80 hours. You want to thoroughly inspect the ski. Check for signs of abuse on the hull, and prop. Look for rust and salt residue. check the compression. Your best bet is to take someone with you who knows jetskis and have them check it out. if possible, see if you can take it for a ride. When buying used the saying is "Caveat Emptor", let the buyer beware."
