What is the legal size limit on trout in california?

I am trying to catch trout does anyone know wheres the best place to go?

• i live in modesto and im trying to find a place to go and catch some good size trout so if anyone knows of where in california is real good trout fishing whether its a river, lake, stream, etc... anywhere i just want to catch big trout so please help me out thanks

  I responded to your other post regardin' McSwain Lake/Merced River fishin', so it might just help out with this one? If your out of Modesto, both the Stanislaus and Tuolomne rivers produce good native trout. Have givin' you the link for DF&G's trout planting schedule in your area sooo, ya' just might want ta' put it in your computers bookmarks/favorites for future fishin' trout (these are the planted hatchery type and not **Native).
