I see from your old posts that you are 15. Well, if you want to learn how to fix your own board, Good For You! However, it's not as easy as it looks. I started surfing 42 years ago, and I have fixed a thousand dings. I have even made a few boards. But, guess what? If I have have a big ding today, I take my board to a surf shop that has a good ding man, and pay to get it fixed. I'm still glad to hear that you are willing to try. If you have a surfing family, maybe Mom or Dad can help you fix it (yes, you will have to tell them). If not, you might have some surfing friends, who are knowledgeable about these things. I hope you are already good in the ocean, and I hope you have taken lessons, either from a professional instructor, or family/friends. Take a look at the links below. You will see that ding repair is a little more complicated than you may have thought. Unless, of course, you are already an old hand a mixing resin. If you thinkthe ding is passing water, you want to sand the sanding coat down, and then re coat it. Don't use PE resin on a board with an EPS foam blank, it will dissolve you blank like acid. You should use the same type of resin that is already on the board, so that it bonds properly. PE on a PE board, epoxy on an epoxy board. DON'T cut through the glass cloth unless you have a soft spot or some rot that needs to be cut out. If that the case, be sure to use the right type of foam to re-fill the 'hole' and make sure to cut the glass cloth back far enough around it, so that you can make a nice level repair, with new glass cloth and resin. Just so you can get my personal opinion. I have been surfing since 1966, and as a youngster, I fixed countless digs (mine and my pals). But guess what, if you really like your board, take it to a shop with a good ding man. It's worth the money. And, since we don't know where you live, we can make any sepcific recommendations of where to go! http://www.foamez.com/ http://www.surfersteve.com/introduction.... http://www.ehow.com/how_8731_fix-ding-su... http://www.lajollasurf.org/ding.html

I think John F's answer above is probably as good as it will get. I really don't think your parents would be that mad though...accidents happen!
