What are some good weight routines for water polo?

Will I get big if I play water polo?

• I'm a girl, btw. Alright, So I'm going to be a freshman this year, and I've done swimming for 2-3 years now. I don't particularly enjoy the sport, because I like Contact sports much better. I'm way competitive & very aggressive, and everyone keeps bugging me to try out for water polo because I could make JV easy. Our school's team isn't all that great, so anyone who already knows how to do the eggbeater, all 4 strokes, and can throw/catch with both hands like I do would be a big plus, I hear. Well, Water Polo and Soccer are in the same season, unfortunately. I've done soccer for 9 years now, I enjoy it a lot and am very comfortable with it. I like to try new sports too. I don't know whether or not I want to do water polo, or soccer. My main factor for deciding is my appearance. I'm 14, and 5'6, around 140 pounds. I have a very athletic build with wide shoulders from swim. I do have a some stomach fat though, which makes me VERY conscious. I would LOVE to get rid of that. But I've seen people before they tried out for water polo, and I've seen them again around 1-2 years later, and they look so different! The girl's are usually my size or maybe smaller trying out, and now they just look like a lady hulk. I really don't want to get bigger playing this sport, even if it IS muscle. I'm not happy with my weight or appearance, so If I play Water Polo, will I get bigger? Some people have told me that at first you lose a lot of weight, then you just gain it back, though. Is this true?

  okay first of all to do water polo you need to have stamina and i think you should join it because it IS fun and you do lose a lot of weight when you join. also you don't feel when you sweat if you don't like sweating so yeah :)
