Why are snow board jackets so expensive?

I have a 5ft 3 North Shore 'board' bag - is it for surf, sea or snow?

  • I recently acquired what I thought was a surf board bag - the brand is North Shore Maui Hawaii. Naturally I presumed it was for a surf board, as not being a surfer myself, I at least knew the Hawaii connection. It is a travel bag with 2 compartments and wheels - the kind of bag I thought surfers took on long haul trips to the next big wave. However after a bit of research I am stumped - it is approx 160 cms long (5ft 3 ish ) by 60cm (2ft). This seems too short for either a long board or a short board, and the wrong shape for body boards. So what is this bag likely to be for? Snow board? Paddle Board ? Wake Board? Scrabble Boards? Can't find the brand "North Shore " website or any products via Google so was hoping someone far more knowledgeable could enlighten my 'board-em". Thanks.

    Its probably a fish or a shortboard (both shorter surfboards) , for a young experienced surfer (9-13) that size would be regular.
