What skimboard size should I go with for an exile board?

  • I am looking to buy a hybrid shape exile skimboard. I have been skimboarding for three years now and curious to see whether I should go with medium-small or medium size. I am 5 11 and weigh 150 Ibs. I am looking for a board size that can give me the longest ride per run. What size should I go with? Would going with a bigger board give me a longer ride?

    bigger boards won't neccasarily get you farther, yes they will have more flotation and usually get you farther into the ocean, but if you are too small you won't get enough speed you just need to have the perfect size, i personalyy like zap skimboards better, they are more reliable, they last longer, but they don't have as many choices, the perfect skimboard for your size and to get you father into the ocean and have a perfect longer ride is a zap pro skimboard of a size you like. there is an online store where i bought mine for 75 dolllars less than its original price, its a perfect fit, here is the link if your interested. http://www.dwskatesurf.com/zap-pro-skim-board-med-52x20x3-4.html?source=googleps copy and paste link

Bigger boards usually give u better float but getting out further and getting longer rides are not just about float its mostly based on how fast u go... Check the exile site for board sizes and there will be weight recommendations on there: http://exileskimboards.com/en/product/skimboards.html .
