What size FISH surfboard should I ride. 6'0" or 6'3"?
-
I would consider myself to be an advanced beginner to lower intermediate, surfing in smaller gulf coast surf. I'm 5'9" and 165 lbs.

Answer:
Check it out with the guys in the local surf shops. You poor Gulf Coasts guys get so few surfable days, I would stay long, but the folks in the shops there know the score better than I do up here in the northeast.

usually a fish is really wide and thick. your supposed to ride them really short like 5'6 or 5'5 depending on the model. if you get a 6'0 you'll catch more waves but wont be able to do turns as easily. I live on the gulf coast also.

definetly 6'3" because the waves arent big enough for a 6'
Jason M
I would go with a 6'3 or 6'6 because the waves are so small there.
