What is a best shape for wooden skimboard?

Help with Skimboard shape and usage?

  DB are great for trick and inland riding, but.... that's about it. if you want to really ride some waves and get out in the ocean, dbs aren't what you want. they really are great at what they are made for. doing tricks, and riding flatland, mabey hitting some shore ripples to get your ollie started. If you want something good for both, that i say get want soemthing made for ocean wave riding, it'll ride great on sand and gret in the waves. just find the board that works for you, but i'm going to say if you want to ride it in big waves i wouldn't buy a db. i know all their videos and team riders are dope, but, thats what those boards are made for, not big wave riding, where the real tricks happen. notice none of those kids got a barrel, or did any kind of flip or rodeo. get something big a foamy and hit the beach where people who really know what they are doing go. plus you can still do all your flatland stuff with a oceanic foam board. Just probably not too many rails or the big foam boards will break. but there is the difference between dbs and not dbs rails. thats what you get when you buy a db a board that won't break on a rail, so your choice, you can have one or the other, flat land tricks and rails, or sand and waves, and big tricks. hope this helps but pick what you want and have a blast that's all that counts peace braddah
