What is a best shape for wooden skimboard?

Skimboard- Which is the best shape and size?

  • Im 13 years old, 5 foot 4, 105 pounds. I know how to skim board, i can hit the lip pretty good but i am still kind of learning. Im looking into getting a nice board. Ive been looking at the Victoria Grommet. If there are any real good skimmers that know there boards, please help me pick a nice and good board for me please.

  • Answer:

well it just matters how serious you are and how much you want to spend a zap wedge is good and inexpensive but if you want more performance get the Victoria grommet but you might out grow it soon better to get a bigger board than a smaller one or if you have the money get the small exile carbon pro idk if you already have one but arch bars and traction pads are also helpful

For your weight and experience, maybe you should get the Zap pro medium of small would be very good. Don't use the Zap bat. Even though I love it, it's not as hardcore for wave tricks and should stick to small waves and flatland tricks. THe victoria and exile s-glasses are good but very expensive...Hope I helped!!
