I want to play water polo freshman year & I have no clue how to play this kind of sport.?

I've never played water polo or any type of water sport but for freshman year I want to try out. (i start freshman year in about 6 months) I pretty much no nothin' about the sport & I need some information, advice & well just some help to get to know the sport. Thanks (:

More than likely, the coaches will teach you how to correctly play the sport. Just make sure you know how to really swim. Most people think water polo is played in like 4 ft water. More like 6ft. You've got to have endurance, skill, and power to play this type of sport. But don't worry you'll probably be taught all 3
