Surfboard leash! how long should the leash be for a 7'2" funboard?
-
my board is 7'2", i'm 5 ft 8 and new at the sport. how long should my leash be?
-
Answer:
Your leash should be almost the length of your board. The reason being is that for the larger boards you may wish to nose ride, for obvious reasons if your leash is too short then you will not reach your nose. The other reason is that if you fall off your board, if the leash is too long you will have to pull your board back (which could become scarry) when a wave is coming and if its too short then it will act like a spring, thus forcing the board back at you. hope this helps!
