Surfboard Traction Pad?
-
I've got my traction pad on my surfboard but part of it is peeling off what type of glue/adhesive should I use to put it back on?
-
Answer:
You should use contact cement becaue it stays flexible and will move with the pad. The trick is when using contact cement is to appy it to both sides(make sure you scrape the old surface clean first, and prep it), let the glue dry COMPLETELY on both sides, then apply again to both sides and let it dry COMPLETELY. If you put the pad on while the gule is wet, it won't stick.. if the glue is dry and you just touch the two surfaces togehter, it's like cement!!! Good Luck!
