How do you like to fish a Zoom Wacky Worm?

What am i doing wrong when i fish?

  • I am brand new to fishing. I have a spinning reel(diawa or w/e) and a good rod. i have fished in two ponds and caught nothing. went to the savannah river at 6:00 am and stayed till about 12 Pm. Didnt catch a thing. before i go to the lake id like to know whats up? i use a texas rig with a zoom worm. i try to fish in weeds and near underwater cover like all the things i read on the internet. Like iu said im new, aand i will take any suggestions to the water to try. After all, nothing can be worse than what im doing now lol. If you give info on a rig, please tell me exactly what to use and how to use it. I use 8test line btw. Thanks in advance !

  • Answer:

Try live or dead bait like worms or cut up shrimp and clams you'll catch fish trust me just cast it away wait 15-30 min reel it back in to see if your bait still there or replace it it usually loses flavor and scent around that time period and cast it back. and make sure you have two hooks because that might be the problem a fish might pass and not even notice it so have two hooks one near the bottom and one about 7-12in higher than that one since fish swim in different water levels. also I use circle hooks since once the fish bites one of those there hooked! Trust me on this one buy circle hooks all you need to do after is reel not like all that tugging you see people doing at the pier or tv (river monsters) with regular hooks just reel and yepee!!! A fish good luck
