Where to find a Jet Ski?

  • I live in NC and am interested in getting a jet ski I had one before that I bought brand new for about $12,000. I was wondering where I could just find a used one for a good price $1,500-$3,000 that's still in good shape just to go wake boarding instead of sucking up gas in my Ski Boat. I'm really just looking for a simple 2 seat Jet Ski with the basics. Any suggestions?

    http://www.boattrader.com/ enter your area, what you want, how far you're willing to travel. BTW it's not illegal for you to use a 2 seater in NC, just don't put 3 of you on it when not boarding. there are mirror size specifications also.

Check out Craigslist, Ebay, or the local papers. I found mine on ebay and got a great deal. If you want to be able to pull a wake board, i would look for a 1200 cc. or higher. You may have to look at older models in order to find a ski that can pull a wake board within the $1500-$3000 range. Also, you need a three seater in order to pull a wake board. You need the driver, a spotter watching the wake boarder and the person being towed.

using a two seater for wakeboard is illegal. you need a seat for the driver, spoter and a seat to carry the wake boarder if he/she gets injured. you may want to try auto trader.
